Edward Kipp

Ed Kipp has managed Enterprise Level IT organizations for public agencies for more than 25 years. Ed has a successful track record of delivering high-demand, strategic IT executive level consulting including cybersecurity, disaster recovery, continuous vulnerability scanning, emerging technology evaluation, and specialized system security testing.

While at SDI, he built a team of 15-20 highly technical consultants to augment the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (ISTHA) IT department with specialized skillset to oversee the ISTHA technology environment.

For the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), he managed a team of 20+ highly technical resources contracted to support and maintain the CTA’s Corporate IT systems including corporate servers, desktops, networks, NOC monitoring and Help Desk systems and supporting services across 50+ sites in the greater Cook County and surrounding areas.

Prior to SDI, Ed served as Infrastructure Manager of Networks, Systems, and Communications for Rapid Solutions Group. Ed was responsible for all aspects (people, process, technology, and budgets) of corporate technology infrastructure, including Networking, communications, and Systems for 700 users located at six locations across the United States. He was also responsible for the design, implementation, and support of local area and wide area production-based networks, telephone systems, Windows server infrastructure, Exchange e-mail, and desktop support.
