The procurement process can require an extensive investment of resources. In conjunction with a client’s subject matter experts (SMEs), SDI can decrease the time required for completion and improve the effectiveness of your procurement effort.
The procurement and selection process is an intricate one. An RFP is a highly structured document that specifies minimally acceptable administrative, business, functional, technical, cost, and/or contractual requirements, as well as the evaluation criteria that will govern vendor selection and contract award. In support of RFP development, SDI works cooperatively with all designated parties. Typically, we start with a proven RFP template (SDI developed, state issued, or agency provided), and we make productive use of other RFP related and best practice documents when appropriate.
Beyond the development and issuance of the RFP, our services include support for RFP questions and answers, RFP addendums, proposal evaluation, contract negotiations, successful vendor recommendations, and presentations to boards/councils if needed.
