Project Description
SDI was contracted to develop a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the future purchase of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) financial management, procurement, human resources, payroll administration, and other administrative business needs.
Project Goals
- Provide a single, comprehensive and integrated solution to manage the District’s business functions
- Reduce or eliminate the need for redundant data entry
- Reduce or eliminate the need for manual input when preparing the annual budget and financial statements
- Provide an up-to-date, user-friendly and intuitive user interface to promote system use and productivity
- Streamline business processes to take advantage of best practices through automation, integration, and workflows
- Provide interface capabilities with third-party systems
- Improve and provide necessary reports and access to data through inquiry or drill-down capabilities
- Provide a vendor self-service portal and an employee self-service portal

- Initial project planning
- Documentation of existing and proposed functional and data requirements.

- Development of a requirements analysis report

- Implementation project management, including the development of a project plan and schedule, and coordination of data migration, vendor relationship and contract compliance
