Event Management System Implementation for Category X Airport
The Aviation Department chose to implement an advanced EMS as a comprehensive replacement to the current Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, for use by the...
SDI developed and currently maintains the comprehensive system, used for event response at the Communication Centers of two major airports. At one of the airports, SDI created and linked digital facility maps with the Computer-Aided Dispatch System for police, fire, emergency medical services, and airport security. SDI upgraded and linked ID badging, access control, video, and dispatch systems to create a fully integrated, state-of-the-art security system. SDI provides on-site technical support services to maintain these security-related control systems for both airports.
The Department required a dedicated, responsive partner to install, maintain, repair, provide comprehensive technical support and inventory management of the airports integrated safety and security systems. Strict Service Level Agreements govern the program, including 99.9% system uptime requirements.
SDI has continuously provided maintenance and technical support to this project since 1991. The core SDI Team has provided seamless support for newly implemented systems for Biometrics, Wireless Card Readers, Intelligent Video, License Plate Recognition, and Wireless Mesh Networking; all while managing and supporting an environment of ever-increasing device and server counts.
