Security Command Center in Major U.S. City

Project Description

Design and implement technology systems for a new Security Command Center in a major U.S. city. The Command Center will oversee the 2.2 million square foot convention center’s safety and security activities

Project Goals

Provide an integrated Command Center environment that provides state-of-the-art security technology systems. Streamline and enhance current video surveillance and security monitoring to enable security personnel to provide instantaneous assessment and response to security situations.

SDI Services

• Designed, procured, installed, and integrated the following: Video display systems including a 20-foot video wall; Incident Management System; Consoles and computers; and Unified Command Interface.
• The completed Unified Command Interface integrates surveillance cameras, access control systems, fire alarm, parking garage, and elevator management systems.
• This integrated system features automatic response to events and data and video links to city’s 9-1-1 Center and City Hall through an Internet VPN

Project Results

Since the center’s opening, SDI has engaged in creating a fully-integrated and cutting-edge command center that will guarantee the staff’s easy, efficient, and accurate access to current building information and needs.
