Kronos Implementation Project Leadership

Project Description

A West Coast City engaged SDI Presence to provide Project Management services over the Kronos implementation team deploying Workforce Telestaff and Workforce Dimensions across the municipal government.  The City also needed several clocks installed to bring all employees into the new time-keeping system.

Client Objectives

The City wanted an electronic workforce scheduling and time-keeping application for its employees to migrate away from a paper system.  The City wants to streamline operations and maximize use of the new system, including mobile clocking and automatic scheduling for its public safety departments.

Services Delivered
  • Overall Project Management
  • Led requirements gathering and design sessions, including prototype system demonstrations, with City operational managers
  • Developed project plan and budget for detailed systems design, implementation, and rollout phases
  • Assisted City in developing scheduling policies and use procedures for Kronos Workforce Telestaff
  • Implementation, integration, testing, and training for various new and existing functionalities in Kronos Workforce Telestaff, and a Kronos to Tyler MUNIS integration for importing employee information and exporting payroll data
  • Oversaw the Kronos Workforce Telestaff to Kronos Workforce Dimensions integration to provide for accurate scheduling information based on real-time data from time clocks
Project Results
  • SDI acted as the City’s Advisor for Project Management, IT, oversight, and subject-matter expertise for Kronos Telestaff and Workforce Dimensions.
  • SDI delivered an electronic workforce scheduling application, Kronos Workforce Telestaff, to 300 public safety employees.
