Project Description

The City contracted SDI to improve IT planning based on its strategic objectives.  SDI began with an assessment of the City’s existing resources and use of those resources compared to best practices and the City’s goals and priorities.  SDI then made recommendations, balancing between remediating the City’s immediate information technology needs, and providing the foundation for the City to reach the target IT maturity state.

Services Delivered

SDI services delivered, include but are not limited to the following:

  • Gathered information regarding IT processes, challenges, and issues through a survey of the user community, interviews with key user stakeholders, and interviews with IT management and staff
  • Performed an independent assessment of how closely the City’s IT practices conform to best practices, resulting in specific recommendations on IT governance, the City’s business technology applications, IT service delivery, infrastructure, security, and administration
