ATLANTA, December 19, 2013–SDI (System Development.Integration, LLC), a leading systems integrator of mission-critical technologies and infrastructure, announces that Bob Carter, a seasoned sales executive in the safety and security industry, will serve as Director of Sales out of its newly opened Atlanta office. Mr. Carter will be responsible for directing sales in the Southeast U.S. market under SDI’s recently-acquired portfolio company X7, to include city-wide surveillance and license plate recognition (LPR) programs within the transportation, critical infrastructure and education industries.
“Bob brings a wealth of security industry knowledge and experience to SDI and its companies,” said Brian Diver, President and COO of SDI and its affiliates X7 and i-sys. “His addition to the SDI sales team will allow us to extend SDI’s advanced security technology offering into the Southeast and continue our positive growth in the United States.”
Mr. Carter brings more than 15 years of security industry sales experience and knowledge to SDI, as well as a law enforcement background-including a year as a Deputy United States Marshal. Before joining SDI, Mr. Carter was General Manager of Sales at Iron Sky, where he helped build innovative city-wide surveillance, license plate recognition and data integration solutions for public safety and police departments. Key accounts included Georgia Institute of Technology, Midtown Atlanta Business Improvement District and the City of Sandy Springs.
Prior to Iron Sky, Mr. Carter was Director of Video Sales for Sentry Technology, delivering big box retail, distribution and transportation surveillance solutions using the SmartTrack traveling rail camera system for accounts such as FedEx, Lowe’s, Walmart, and Kroger.
