CHICAGO, July 23, 2012 — SDI (System Development.Integration, LLC), a leading systems integrator specializing in advanced security technologies and infrastructure, today announced executive management changes that are designed to position the company’s leadership team for global growth.
SDI founder David A. Gupta remains CEO of the firm, and will focus on new markets, business development and strategic global alliances. “Our US customers and their international counterparts are looking to extend their technology environment to better protect their critical infrastructure – integrating layers of applications, devices and sensors, and analytics,” states Gupta. “SDI has an established track record of delivering complex systems that produce the operation efficiencies and heightened security benefits that are expected. I am excited about this next chapter in SDI’s evolution, and the initial response already generated from early outreach to Latin America, Europe, Middle East and Asia targets.”
Since founding SDI in 1991, Mr. Gupta has been particularly involved in client development activities and has developed an extensive network of relationships within the aviation industry. Mr. Gupta was previously a Senior Vice President in the Electrical Engineering Group at Environmental Systems Design, where he was responsible for the design of power and data systems for more than 10,000,000 square feet of commercial real estate. Mr. Gupta sits on several Boards including alma maters University of Chicago Graham School’s Board of Advisors and the University of Colorado Civil and Architectural Engineering Program Advisory Board.
Executive Vice President of Market Operations Brian Diver has been named to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer. During his previous seven-year tenure at SDI, Mr. Diver directed the firm’s business development efforts, solution offerings, and client delivery functions, while expanding the firm’s operations at a national level. In his new position, Mr. Diver will be responsible for the strategic direction and daily operations of the company.
Bringing over 25 years of professional technology services leadership to SDI, Mr. Diver has previously held notable key executive positions, including Managing Executive of Whittman-Hart’s professional services group which consisted of approximately 2,800 professionals serving over 400 customers and generating over $400 million dollars in annual revenue, and Principal of Ernst & Young’s Information Technology practice. Mr. Diver received his Bachelors Degree in Finance and Computer Science & Applied Data from Northern Illinois University.
SDI recently closed an additional investment with private equity firms LLR Partners and Monument Capital Group to fund the firm’s continued growth in the public sector technology market through acquisitions and expansion of its footprint globally.
