As we bid farewell to 2023, it's time to reflect on the remarkable journey that has defined SDI Presence over the past year. Our commitment to excellence has once again propelled us to new heights—as we aim to solidify our position as a preferred IT services provider for customer modernization. Join us as we unwrap the highlights of 2023—a year filled with accomplishments, growth, and positive impact.
Growing SDI Client Portfolio
SDI welcomed 45 new customers to our prestigious portfolio of clients, showcasing our commitment to delivering solutions in Infrastructure and Application Managed Services, ITSM/ServiceNow, Digital Transformation and Modernization, as well as Cloud Services. As we continue to evolve to meet our clients’ needs, we proudly introduced new services like AI-driven rapid application modernization (4x acceleration) and Virtual CIO offering—providing our clients with strategic technology leadership.
Growing the Talented SDI Team
Along with our growing portfolio of new client logos, we also welcomed new faces at SDI—adding 95 new team members in 2023. These new team members brought diverse talents, backgrounds, and perspectives that enrich the firm and strengthen our ability to deliver innovative solutions to our clients. There was a slight leadership change atop SDI in Q1 2023–founder David Gupta took the Executive Chairman role, and the board moved me up from President and Chief Growth Officer to CEO.
Commitment to Diversity and Local Communities
SDI is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion, and contributing to a more equitable future—through November of 2023, we spent more than 48% of our annual spend with diverse suppliers, fostering a more inclusive business environment in Chicago and beyond.
Looking ahead, SDI is dedicated to making a lasting impact through our Xchange Program—a proven economic development model that leverages private sector IT spend to drive IT careers in underestimated communities. At scale, Xchange has the goal to create an estimated 20,000 high-paying jobs in IT—changing the demographics of our communities’ IT workforce over the next 5 years.
And we believe in the power of giving back to the community. This year, we are proud to have supported more than 30 charities, contributing to causes that make a meaningful impact on people's lives.
Earning Awards and Recognition
2023’s numerous accomplishments showcase SDI’s commitment to customers, colleagues and community. The year started out with the firm clinching a spot on the Elite 150 of CRN's MSP 500 list for the third consecutive year. We were honored as a Chicago Tribune Top Workplace for the sixth straight year, proving our dedication to providing a flexible work environment, fostering teamwork, and career growth.
