Accomplished Technology Executive Joins Firm to Drive Strategic Growth and Market Expansion
CHICAGO, February 11, 2025 – SDI Presence LLC (SDI), a leading IT services firm specializing in managing critical infrastructure and systems, announces the appointment of Jay Preston as the firm’s new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). A seasoned executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience in private equity-backed technology companies, Preston brings a proven track record of scaling businesses, driving revenue growth, and executing strategic initiatives across IT services, software, and digital transformation sectors.
Preston most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of CONNEQ, a technology solutions spin-out from Astreya, where he successfully led the company’s market entry and platform development. Prior to that, as Senior Vice President of Global Service Delivery at Astreya, he led global service operations, expanded revenue significantly, spearheaded acquisitions, and integrated cutting-edge AI-driven solutions into enterprise services. His extensive experience includes leadership roles at Milestone Technologies, Cisco, and CIENA, where he played a pivotal role in securing major enterprise clients, driving operational efficiency, and scaling high-growth businesses.
At SDI, Preston will be responsible for revenue generation, sales, marketing, and business development as the company continues its expansion across public sector, utilities, and financial services markets.

Capital. At Cisco, he won the prestigious Chairman’s Club Award for outstanding leadership in enterprise sales.
