IT veteran Duane L. Flowers to drive SDI's mission-critical service offerings to federal market and East Coast targets
CHICAGO and WASHINGTON, DC, June 4, 2010 -- SDI (System Development.Integration, LLC), a systems integrator specializing in public sector security technologies and infrastructure, announces that it is opening a Washington, DC office, to establish a base for its East Coast and Federal operations. Duane L. Flowers will serve as Director of Business Development for the new office, which will focus on parlaying the firm's 19 years experience in delivering mission-critical technology services to the new markets.
SDI delivers end-to-end technology services specifically for mission-critical environments that are impacted by homeland security challenges. The firm has recently seen an up-tick in interest in its safety and security practice, which focuses on delivering command center technology design and systems - including video and perimeter surveillance, Physical Security Information Management (PSIM), and access controls - to drive situational awareness benefits. With several former military officers who have served at the highest levels of strategic and operational command in the military and civilian sectors, the firm has a core expertise of shaping technology to drive a client's concept of operations.

Flowers brings over 20 years of experience in selling technology life-cycle professional services to state, local and Federal government agencies in the mid-Atlantic area including DC Government and the cities of Philadelphia, PA and Richmond, VA. Most recently holding senior account executive positions at Intelligent Decisions and Hansen Information Technologies, Flowers' previous solution focus complements SDI's offerings, including a heavy emphasis on physical security, and asset management. Flowers brings strong teaming relationships to SDI, ranging from military contractors such as General Dynamics, to product vendors including Anixter, to a roster of proven veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone small businesses, women-owned small businesses, and small disadvantaged business contractors.
