Initiative Celebrates SDI’s Past and Future Commitment to Diversity
CHICAGO, April 16, 2008 -- SDI (System Development.Integration, LLC), a systems integrator specializing in technical and operational support for capital asset intensive organizations, today launched its SDIDiversify initiative, a program which will provide opportunities for other minority companies through partnerships, mentoring programs and community activism.
When SDI recently grew out of several Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) programs, the company developed the SDIDiversify program as a way to demonstrate its continued commitment to diversity. SDIDiversify fosters growth for minority and women owned businesses through business partnerships and mentoring. Through the program, SDI is also committing to continue its workforce minority recruiting and continuing education offerings. Furthermore, SDI continues to nurture a corporate culture that celebrates diverse perspectives, and exceptional community activism and outreach.

Gupta is also the founder of the First Chance Initiative, a student internship program designed to provide minority public high school students the opportunity to work in a professional office environment. SDI has paid over $500,000 in salaries and scholarship funds through the First Change Initiative and currently employs several past students.
