SDI Launches SDImpacts Corporate Citizenship Program SDImpacts Builds Firm’s On-Going Community, Diversity, and Environment Initiatives

CHICAGO, September 24, 2008 — SDI (System Development.Integration, LLC), a systems integrator specializing in technical and operational support for capital asset intensive organizations, today announced that the company has launched the SDImpacts Program. Building on the SDI founding principle of sound corporate citizenship, the SDImpacts program serves the community through sustainable technology solutions, diversity initiatives, and active community involvement, making a noteworthy impact on our environment, customers, and employees.

SDI’s Impacts Program currently focuses on three related yet individually significant programs, each reflecting core business values of the firm:

  • The SDImpacts Community Program, actively identifies opportunities to create meaningful positive impact on the community’s workforce and its citizen’s lives. SDI supports over 20 local philanthropies in our client communities, including SDI’s own First Chance Initiative (FCI) Internship Program. FCI provides public high school students with an opportunity to learn about information technology, apply their skills to real life projects and understand the importance of their education. Over the life of the program, SDI has paid over $313,000.00 in salaries and scholarship funds to help develop an educated workforce of tomorrow within our community.
  • The SDImpacts Diversity Program cultivates an inclusive SDI corporate environment that encourages individual perspectives to yield high performing solutions, with multicultural values and partnership that reflect the growing diversity of the communities SDI serves. SDI has an on-going and proven commitment to meet minority goals in our new and existing contracts, as well as actively recruit minority technology and business professionals to maintain our diverse workforce. SDI is a committed participant in Chicago United’s Five Forward program (http://www.chicago-united.org), which enlists Chicagoland corporations to establish business relationships with five local minority firms, with the objective of building a stronger regional economy and minority businesses of scale.
  • The SDImpacts Environment Program incorporates environmentally-sensitive best practices, products and policies into SDI’s corporate culture to minimize the carbon footprint of SDI and their clients. From the environmentally-conscious design of SDI’s new office headquarters to a roster of technology solutions that provide energy efficiencies, SDI is committed to consistently integrating environmentally friendly technology systems, infrastructure and support best practices in our internal office operations and in our client environments.

“One of the founding principles of SDI is our commitment to being a good corporate citizen,” said Dawn Nash Pfeiffer, Vice President of Marketing. “Whether it is demonstrating ethical business standards, making a difference in the environment, or reflecting the diversity of the communities in which we serve, SDI is committed to making a significant impact through our corporate responsibility.”
