CHICAGO, May 20-21, 2009 — SDI (System Development Integration, LLC), a systems integrator specializing in technical and operational support for capital asset intensive organizations, held an informative Next Generation Video Technology Roundtable Briefing designed to provide security managers with a functional overview of high definition video systems.
The Roundtable – part of an on-going series of forums presented by the vendor-independent SDI’s advisory services team – provided a forum for numerous agencies and security officials to explore the relevance of this leading edge technology to their security environment. After a ground-leveling overview of the evolution of video technology which addressed digital, analog and hybrid environments, attendees participated in a live demonstration of megapixel video surveillance technology. The demonstration highlighted security-focused functional uses of the technology, including forensic/evidentiary applications such as to reduce theft claims. Additional benefits perceived by the group included: clearer images for better evidence; greater coverage with fewer camera installations; the ability to reconcile simultaneous PTZ maneuvering and pixed views; and the ability to leverage existing networks when deploying the system.
Aside from discussions and questions and answers, the group was surveyed for additional insight into their organizations. To view these survey results, presentation notes, and additional information, please visit us on the web at: www.sdienterprises.com_2009roundtable.
