SDI Hires John Rathwell for Critical Infrastructure Protection Sales

Firm Continues Build-Out of Blended Security, IT Expertise

CHICAGO, June 3, 2014 – SDI (System Development Integration, LLC), a national systems integrator specializing in advanced technologies for security and critical infrastructure, announces that John Rathwell has joined the firm as Director of Strategic Vertical Accounts – Critical Infrastructure Protection. Mr. Rathwell will be responsible for directing sales in critical infrastructure-intensive industries including aviation, seaports, petroleum, and utilities markets. Mr. Rathwell will also assist in expanding the firm’s commercial market within the Midwest region, including Minneapolis, Chicago, Indianapolis, and Detroit.

“We are incredibly pleased to welcome John to our growing team,” said Jeremy Howard, Senior Vice President at SDI and its affiliates X7 and i-sys. “John’s understanding of complex security solution sales will allow us to extend SDI’s advanced security technology offering into more critical infrastructure sectors and continue our growth in the US.”

Mr. Rathwell brings more than 25 years of security industry sales experience to SDI: Mr. Rathwell previously held the position of Strategic Account Director at Verint Video Intelligence Solutions, where he established key relationships with end users, systems integrators, and channel partners. Prior to Verint, Mr. Rathwell was a System Sales Manager for Honeywell, where he had sales responsibilities for a 10 state region.

Addressing the higher technical requirements of today’s advanced security technologies, SDI offers a hybrid security and IT skill set that significantly reduces risks and optimizes performance when integrating security technology into enterprise environments. The firm’s IT engineers are adept in addressing typical CIO concerns of network utilization, scalable storage platforms, and overall risk mitigation as it relates to the deployment of logical and physical security systems such as PSIM, access control, and enterprise digital video surveillance.

SDI’s client portfolio includes some of the nation’s largest airport systems, water utilities, toll authorities, public school systems, 911 centers and public transit systems. SDI is capitalized by Monument Capital Group and LLR Partners, a private investment firm with more than $2.0 billion raised across four funds. In 2013, SDI added security integrators i-sys, Corp and X7 as portfolio companies, and together serve over 1,100 clients throughout the U.S.
